Brutal: Paws of Fury is a pretty fun versus fighting game with cartoonish anthropomorphic animals that compete in a martial arts tournament. The game tried to be different from Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter and others by making each character's special abilities unlockable by earning "belts", so that the player grows more powerful with each victory.

The cartoonish violence and nicely-drawn graphics make this game quite suitable for younger audiences that want to play a fighting game.

The playable demo offers all non-boss characters and a single arena, allowing up to eight rounds in a single match against a computer-controlled opponent or another player.
