Rob Blanc I: Better Days of a Defender of the Universe is a short point-and-click adventure game by Ben 'Yahtzee' Croshaw that pays tribute to the classic Sierra adventure titles.

Rob Blanc is an English chip shop worker who has been selected by The High Ones as the Defender of the Universe. His first test is to find out the fate of a lost alien spaceship. The game plays as you'd expect: there are several puzzles that involve both manipulating items and interacting with NPCs. Although short, it indeed captures the feel of the old adventure games from the late 80s and early 90s.

Rob Blanc I was created with Chris Jones' Adventure Game Studio (AGS) and released as freeware. A newer Windows version is also available, but you might need DxWnd (please see the links section below) to run it on modern systems.
