In Silent Hunter, you are a captain of an American submarine in the Pacific theatre of World War II. Your objective -- destroy as many Japanese ships as possible without getting spotted and destroyed yourself.
This is a serious, full-blown simulation, with all available submarine and ship types, weapons and locations based on real life with a good degree of historical accuracy. It is advised to carefully study controls before playing, as commanding a submarine is different from both ground vehicle and aircraft simulations.
The playable demo includes one daytime scenario.
