Test Drive: Off-Road is a spin-off of the Test Drive series that features monster trucks racing across various forms of unstable terrain, such as dirt, gravel, snow and sand. There are single races and league events, and a number of different cars to choose.

The game world is rendered in full 3D, but, like in Need for Speed, many props such as trees are represented by 2D sprites. The game runs both at low and high screen resolutions.

The playable demo contains two tracks and several car types to choose. Only the practice mode is available.
