Radix is a bold attempt to combine DOOM and Descent into a single futuristic ship-flying first/third person shooter. You pilot an experimental craft, venturing deep inside the human colony of Theta-2 that has been invaded by mysterious but hostile aliens, and beyond.
Explore the colony, collect powerups, find secrets, and of course blast away alien baddies! Each level has a unique set of objectives (primary and secondary), upon completing which you need to escape, Descent-style. The shareware version includes the first episode out of three, Theta-2.
The game received a major overhaul with many different changes, designated Radix 2.0 (the REMIX version).
