Spelbeschrijving

The Mystery of the Surface is a puzzle/arcade game that is somewhat similar to Digger and QIX. The player controls a creature that must dig around and reveal a picture hidden beneath a layer of "ground". Hostile monsters then appear on the screen and chase the player. Some cannot dig the ground and only move along the tunnels created by the player, others dig their own tunnels, and some can cover the picture with more ground.

When the ground is cleared, the picture is revealed and the player must then solve a puzzle related to the picture.

The game was originally sold commercially in the 90s, but 2000s the developers made it available as a free download from their website.
