Spelbeschrijving

Tank Wars is a top-down view shooter game that visually and gameplay-wise resembles the NES classic title Battle City. However, unlike WinTank, this is not a straightforward conversion, and it uses more original sprites and tiles, and generally more original (and harder) levels.

The player needs to defend their HQ (represented by an eagle icon) from enemy tanks that spawn across the map and then move and shoot in random patterns. From time to time, various powerup icons may appear on the screen that grant temporary bonuses to the player, such as an invulnerability shield or faster firing rates. Each level ends after a certain number of tanks has been destroyed.

Tank Wars was released as freeware. Only the author's nickname is known.
